Audio Broadcast
For my rotational position, I contributed to a weekly audio broadcast by recording anchor lead in's that integrated with segments created by other students to produce a final newscast. I worked in a sound booth to prerecord these audio clips and then edited them with the co-anchor together to produce a cohesive listen newscast.
My Role: Anchor
• Collaborated with fellow students to gather and incorporate reportings and lead-ins.
• Edited anchor audio files for clarity and flow.
• Ensured voice control and smooth transitions between segments for a professional listening experience.
In addition to recording anchor leads, I was responsible for creating a wraparound story featured in the final broadcast, you can hear this story at 10min in the embedment.
Key Learnings

I developed skills in managing transitions between segments and coordinating with guests to create a smooth flow. I also became proficient in using Audition to edit my voiceovers, adjust sound levels, and integrate music or sound effects. This role taught me to maintain an authentic tone while guiding the narrative, as well as the importance of timing and pacing in keeping the audience's attention. Additionally, I learned to incorporate feedback from team members to continually improve my performance.
